ACSEP deploys the IzyPro WMS and an ERP for CELINZO in just 8 months

Transformation logistique CELINZO déploie ERP et WMS en 8 mois avec le soutien d’ACSEP

A key player in the automatic distribution of beverages, snacks and confectionery, the CELINZO Group – which brings together the companies VIVENDIA and CONFISUD – is taking a major step forward in its development by modernising logistics at its Sénas distribution centre in southern France. In a context of strong growth and ambitious objectives, the Group has undertaken a far-reaching transformation of its organisation with the aim of centralising inventories, standardising processes and equipping itself with shared digital tools.

An organisation no longer aligned with growth challenges

Historically organised in silos, the Group’s two entities have been sharing a single logistics centre for several months, but without the appropriate tools. The existing ERP was outdated and inflexible, unable to meet new requirements, while operations relied heavily on manual processes, paper-based checks and limited performance indicators.

As explained by Mathieu PISTOL, Chief Financial Officer of the CELINZO Group and project sponsor: “In a distribution business where inventory accuracy and customer service levels are strategic, this situation was no longer compatible with our volumes, customer expectations or growth plans. We therefore launched a large-scale digital transformation programme, starting with logistics. We entrusted ACSEP with the implementation of a WMS and an ERP in just 8 months.”

ACSEP: end-to-end support from start to finish

To ensure the success of this transformation, the CELINZO Group called on consulting firm ACSEP, recognised for its Supply Chain expertise and project management know-how. ACSEP was involved throughout the entire project, from initial assessment to operational go-live, while also supporting change management with the teams.

  • Audits and scope definition. ACSEP conducted two parallel audits: a rapid logistics audit and an ERP audit to identify strengths, areas for improvement and performance levers. These audits confirmed the need to implement a WMS and replace the existing ERP.
  • Sourcing and decision support. In the second phase, ACSEP drafted the ERP functional requirements and managed the tender process, while CELINZO chose to deploy the IzyPro WMS.
  • Deployment and project management. ACSEP took on the role of ERP project manager alongside the selected integrator, while a second team implemented IzyPro and developed interfaces with the ERP. In parallel, the two ERP and WMS project managers led steering committees, monitored timelines and budgets, and supported business teams.

The timeline was particularly ambitious: ACSEP had just 8 months, from March to November 2025, to deploy both solutions simultaneously. The project’s success relied heavily on close collaboration and strong mobilisation between ACSEP and CELINZO teams, including logistics, purchasing, customer service, sales and finance. The project was delivered before Christmas, a peak activity period for CELINZO.

Tangible and rapidly visible results

The new logistics organisation at the Sénas site now relies on a shared WMS and ERP for both companies, harmonised processes, and a physical reorganisation of the warehouse supported by ACSEP (zoning, flows, central aisle), along with the use of barcodes and mobile terminals.

The first benefits are already visible: more reliable inventory across both companies, improved service levels, increased productivity, better working conditions, and enhanced control thanks to the data available in IzyPro.

In our wholesale food business, delivering the right product at the right time and without errors is essential. Today, teams have fully adopted the tools, and we have laid the foundations needed to manage and grow the Group sustainably while strengthening customer loyalty”, continues Mathieu PISTOL.

A small anecdote: the warehouse had to be fully operational in time for the French release of the film “Avatar: Fire and Ash”, as cinema attendance is particularly high during the year-end holiday period.

A future-oriented transformation

Beyond immediate operational performance improvements, this transformation prepares the CELINZO Group for its ambitious plans for organic and external growth.

With more than 11,000 m² of logistics space at our Sénas warehouse and modern, efficient tools, we now have an infrastructure sized to support our short- and medium-term projects. We already operate as freight forwarders for JIMMY’s popcorn and are considering developing third-party logistics activities”, concludes Mathieu PISTOL.

ACSEP: a comprehensive project delivered in record time

This assignment perfectly illustrates ACSEP’s ability to deliver 360° support and define a clear roadmap based on a multidisciplinary approach. Together with the CELINZO Group and its teams, ACSEP designed a tailored solution to meet a particularly ambitious objective: the simultaneous deployment of an ERP and a WMS in just 8 months.

The scope covered the entire project lifecycle: audits, project management, solution selection, EDI interface management, software integration, change management aligned with company culture, and hypercare. All of this was delivered with a high level of rigor, agility and results-driven focus, ensuring the success of a strategic transformation project for the CELINZO Group.

This collaboration continues, as ACSEP is currently supporting the CELINZO Group with a transport audit ahead of a carrier tender process, as part of a continuous improvement and overall performance strategy.

The CELINZO Group specialises in B2B sales of snack food and confectionery products through its main subsidiaries: VIVENDIA, founded in 1992 and focused on the vending sector, and CONFISUD, established in 1990 and dedicated to the leisure industry (cinemas, multiplexes and theme parks). Both companies offer their customers a broad range of nearly 500 product references, with nationwide delivery within D+2. The CELINZO Group places particular emphasis on service quality and, naturally, on meeting delivery deadlines. More information: www.vivendia.fr & LinkedIn, www.confisud.fr & LinkedIn.
